Primary duties include set-up, drafting, converting, producing, coordinating, and editing drawings using AutoCAD and REVIT. Additional responsibilities include working with a team leader to understand projects and stick to a prescribed timeline. Strong communication skills are required to relay information to the owner and design team on all project updates.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Set up project files drawings/sheets/models/views/view templates/layouts/etc. as applicable for project team needs.

• Provide efficient updates of architectural CAD/BIM files for use in MEP design drawings (clean-up, audit, reference, troubleshooting, coordinating as required).

• Draft/generate redlines: plans, diagrams, and schedule drawings in AutoCAD and/or Revit from redlined drawings.

• Produce drawings/projects consistent with instruction, guidelines and CAD/BIM standards.

• Prepare projects for client submissions and create plots, pdf, etc., as required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in drafting, construction technology or related field, or 3-5 years of experience in construction/architecture industry.

• Experience in construction services, administrative support, contract administration, or construction project management is crucial.

• Understanding of the construction industry and processes are beneficial, including the public bid process, AIA documentation, and safety regulations.

• Familiarity with AutoCAD/Revit, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and project or construction management software.

• Excellent organization, time management, attention to detail, and communication skills are valuable.

• Organized and capable of multi-tasking while working on multiple construction projects.
