Our client, The University of San Francisco (USF) is looking to fill a temporary Upward Bound Summer Resident Advisor position.

The University of San Francisco Upward Bound (USFUB) TRIO Program is currently seeking a highly motivated, knowledgeable, creative, engaging, student-focused, experienced Resident Advisor/Teacher Assistant to assist with the Upward Bound summer courses and the two-week dorm stay. This role will be from June 17th through July 19th, 2024. This position will be on-site.

Responsibilities:

• Provide student supervision.
• Enter weekly grades & attendance.
• Support students with work completion.
• Prep materials for instructors.
• Participate in USFUB weekly staff meetings.
• Attend instructor orientation/planning sessions and program activities.

The primary responsibilities during two-week dorm stay include:

• Must stay in the dorms overnight.
• Provide supervision of all residential students.
• Assist in the set-up and clean-up of the UB residence hall common areas or other rooms used by the program.
• Provide academic assistance during study hall.
• Assist in planning, coordinating, and implementing social, cultural, and recreational activities.
• Participate in nightly staff meetings with the residential team.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by the Program Directors.
• Ability to understand and enforce all USFUB Program policies.

Qualifications:

• Skills and knowledge to effectively work with students with diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, linguistic and ethnic backgrounds.
• Ability to understand and enforce all USFUB Program policies.
• Requires passing fingerprinting and a background check.
• Requires certificate of completion of Mandated Reporting Training and USF trainings related to working with minors.

Pay Range: $22.50 per hour - Dorm accommodations will be provided by the University.
