Job Description

Innovative Precision, based in Ogden, Utah is currently expanding its manufacturing operations, and is looking for highly motivated individuals to join our team. Shift: Night Shift 3pm-1am

The Production Worker:

• Operates and monitors machining equipment and processes.
• May be asked to cross train on multiple processes and machines.
• May perform manual manufacturing operations such as deburr and mechanical assembly.
• Will monitor product quality in accordance with quality procedures.
• Participates in all team meetings, activities, team building initiatives, and continuous improvement activities.

Responsibilities:

• Operates multiple processes and machine tools (lathes, mills, etc).
• Monitors assigned processes to ensure high quality production.
• Maintains equipment and a clean area by performing tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and wiping down equipment.
• Maintains an open line of communication to ensure all problems/changes are communicated and resolved in a timely manner.
• Maintains records and documents as required.
• Support root cause investigations of quality problems and takes appropriate action per the task documents.
• May be asked to occasionally work overtime as needed by the department.
• Actively participates in Continuous Improvement teams and activities, including 5S, blitzes, Shift Start-up, updating PVD boards, etc.
• Complies with all local, state, federal, and IP safety regulations, policies, and procedures including RCRA Hazardous Waste regulations; IP quality policies, procedures, and practices through consistent application of sound quality assurance principles.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience Requirements:

• Applicants must be 18 years or older and must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Effective communication skills, basic math skills, and interpersonal skills
• Must also have good dexterity and coordination
• Ability to lift 50lbs. on a daily basis.
• Shift: Nights – 10 hrs/day Monday thru Thursday

Preferred Skills & Experience:

• One to two years of previous manufacturing/production experience is preferred
• Previous machine shop experience
• Measuring parts using calipers, micrometers, and Go/No Go Gauges
• Blueprint reading
• Experience with Continuous Improvement Systems/Methodologies

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $25.00 per hour
