Job Overview:
To provide food and beverage service to guests at banquet events. To provide service to guests and fellow team members in a manner which meets or exceeds Handlery Hotels’ standards and to comply with established company and departmental policies and procedures.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
90% Check in and out with captain and manager for all scheduled shifts and functions and accurately complete all shift/break sign in sheets. Read, understand, and comprehend all Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and assignment sheets. Ensure set up is proper for events and service banquet functions as assigned by the Banquet Captains and/ or managers. Maintain a constant awareness of guests’ needs and fulfill those needs in a timely, professional manner. Break down, clean, and store equipment after events. Efficiently complete all assigned tasks.
10% Attend pre-service meetings, departmental meetings, and assigned training.
Other
Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Team members with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, team members may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the property. In addition, attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings is required.
Upon employment, all team members are required to fully comply with property rules and regulations for the safe and effective operation of the property’s facilities and equipment. Team members who violate property rules and regulations will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS
In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the manager based upon the particular requirements of the property.

Experience
Previous experience in a similar position in a hotel setting is preferred.

Food Handler’s Certification

Team member must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance per Handlery Hotels’ standards.
