ReStore Cashier and Utility Associate (Part-time – Greater Cleveland Habitat for Humanity

Greater Cleveland Habitat for Humanity’s ReStore Cashier and Utility Associate serves as a primary cashier and sales floor associate and merchandiser in the ReStore.

Responsibilities Include:

· Welcoming customers, answering questions, helping customers locate items.

· Processing sales transactions and taking payments.

· Answering customer questions about products or services and providing recommendations based on customer needs.

· Reconciling cash drawers and sales receipts.

· Assisting customers with sales write ups on the salesfloor.

· Assisting on the dock with donations: cleaning, pricing, tagging, and merchandising new stock.

· Assist with organization and maintenance of merchandise displays and inventory.

· Assist with volunteer training and engagement.

· Other special projects and tasks as assigned.

This full-time, hourly, non-exempt position is a member of the ReStore Team and reports to the ReStore Manager. This position’s schedule may included Tuesday to Saturday. Targeted wage is $15 – 16.00/hour.

Position Requires:

· Customer service skills to maintain positive customer relationships, encourage customer loyalty and resolve conflicts.

· Excellent communication to interact with team members and customers.

· Ability to work in a fast-paced and stressful environment.

· Experience with operating POS systems.

· Ability to handle money with full accuracy, transparency, and integrity.

• Experience with some computer programs i.e. Microsoft Office, Excel.

· Commitment to a cooperative work ethic.

· Capacity to handle multiple tasks and competing priorities.

· Commitment to Greater Cleveland Humanity for Humanity mission and the principles of Humanity for Humanity International.
