Gardner Capital is Hiring a Solar Development Analyst Near St. Louis, MO

Job description

Gardner Capital, a leading affordable housing and renewable energy developer, investor, and tax credit syndicator, is experiencing significant growth. With primary regional offices in St. Louis, Missouri, and Dallas, Texas, we are expanding our team. We are seeking a high-energy, professional Solar Development Analyst to oversee and direct the development of solar energy projects, ensuring successful progression from concept through to completion. This role requires strong leadership in project management, financial analysis, and stakeholder engagement to meet company goals and drive growth in solar development.

Job Duties

  • Secure site control for development prospects, including negotiating leases, easements and other agreements with landowners.
  • Attend community meetings and represent Gardner Capital with customers, landowners, state and local officials, and other stakeholders.
  • Conduct site assessments, fatal flaw analysis and other due diligence.
  • Coordinate activities with 3rd Party Consultants on environmental, wildlife, and geotechnical analysis.
  • Obtain local, state and/or federal permits.
  • Initiate and manage generation interconnection activities.
  • Identify development prospects and conduct initial site reconnaissance.
  • Assist Head of Solar Development and team complete investment underwriting deliverables (debt and equity financing packages)

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 1 – 5 years of professional experience (GPA of 3.5 or higher preferred).
  • Must work in Gardner Capital’s St. Louis, MO office.
  • Familiarity with renewable project development, real estate development, transmission OR power project engineering with a desire to learn more.
  • Demonstrated agility and flexibility as business needs and priorities shift.
  • Excellent communication and critical thinking skills with the ability to identify and solve problems.
  • A desire to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Travel as needed, anticipated 10 - 25% of the time.

Work Environment:

· This position requires travel, anticipated at 10 - 25% of the time, including visits to project sites and stakeholder meetings.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

· This full-time position requires consistent and regular attendance onsite. Relocation is required before starting work.

· Days and hours of work are generally Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM in person. These hours are subject to change based upon company needs.
