Foodland IGA in downtown Juneau is hiring for a meat wrapper. In this role, you will be responsible for packaging and labeling various cuts of meat, & ensuring quality and freshness for our customers.

Responsibilities:

- Wrap and package cuts of meat according to established guidelines

- Label packages with accurate product information - Ensure all products are properly stored and organized

- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the meat department

- Assist customers with their meat selections and provide exceptional service

- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow

- Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines

Requirements:

- Previous experience in food service or a similar role is preferred

- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and cuts of meat is a plus - Familiarity with sales techniques and customer service principles

- Basic math skills for cash handling and inventory management

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
