This position is responsible for all laboratory activities coordinated and/or performed by Experic including both internal and third-party tasks. The Associate Director, Analytical Services is also the site lead for the Cranbury NJ Experic offices and laboratory. This position interfaces with customers providing expert advice on the development and validation of analytical methods and is responsible for the quotation process that defines and prices these analytical activities.

• Oversees the development and maintenance of all Experic analytical laboratories and stability storage facilities and capabilities.
• Reviews and approves analytical documentation such as methods, SOPs and development and validation protocols and reports.
• Works with the management to identify key analytical equipment and techniques to improve and optimize Experic's analytical offerings.
• Identifies third-party laboratories to augment Experic's internal offerings.
• Works with other R&D directors and management on analytical activities that support formulation, product and process development activities at Experic.
• Reviews and approves reports and quality investigations related to laboratory activities.
• Interfaces with clients to identify analytical needs during the project scoping and quotation process.
• Provides advice on phase appropriate analytical method development and validation for clients during project execution.
• Hires and develop laboratory scientists and technicians to support Experic laboratory activities
• Responsible for P&L activities for the Analytical services.
• Complies with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), cGMPs,and other regulatory standards.

Leads a team of scientists, including responsibility for safety with the EHS coordinator and responsibility over controlled drug substances with the DEA coordinator (in QA).
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or relevant field with a minimum of 10 years of analytical laboratory or relevant experience or a PhD with greater than 7 years of analytical specific experience.
• At least 5 years of experience with HPLC method
• Familiar with cGMPs,EU,21CFRPart210,211,and820,ISO and ICH guidelines.
• Strong background and understanding of USP,EP, other pharmacopeia.
• Broad analytical experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to give internal and external presentations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite(Word,Excel, PowerPoint,Outlook)or related
• Excellent organizational and communication
• Read and interpret documents such as standard operating procedures, manuals, experimental protocols, and analytical methods.
• Legible Handwriting
• Communicate clearly in writing and orally
• Communicate with clients on topics such as method development, data interpretation, and investigations.

Apply concepts of basic arithmetic such as addition, subtraction, fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical solutions.
Working Conditions:
Standard office environment with less than 10% travel.
