This position is responsible for handling a criminal trial caseload and expected to try a wide-range of case types predominately consisting of complex felonies.Represents the State of Wisconsin in criminal legal proceedings and at trial.Reviews and prepares case files for trial: Identifies and alerts appropriate staff of witnesses that need to be subpoenaed to provide testimony.Reviews, researches, and drafts pre-trial motions, notices, and other filings.Reviews, researches, and drafts responses to defense filed pre-trial motions.Ensures that cases are supported by adequate facts, relevant legal principles, and that documents are complete and prepared appropriately.Performs other related duties as required or assigned.Graduating from an accredited law school.Three or more years of criminal litigation experience.Must possess and maintain licensure to practice law in the State of Wisconsin.Appointment will be conditional upon successful completion of: Fingerprint based criminal background checkEmployment history verificationVerification of license to practice law in the State of Wisconsin#J-18808-Ljbffr
