Schedule: Monday – Friday 11:00pm- 7:00am

The maintenance technician is a skilled professional responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and longevity of industrial machinery and equipment. They perform regular inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on a variety of systems including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components. Their role involves diagnosing issues, troubleshooting problems, and implementing solutions to minimize downtime and maintain productivity. With a strong understanding of technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics, these technicians adeptly handle tools and machinery to perform precise adjustments and calibrations. Their expertise is crucial in optimizing the efficiency and safety of industrial operations, contributing to the overall success of manufacturing and production facilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and coordinate modifications with engineering on production equipment.
  • Perform scheduled preventive/predictive maintenance.
  • Assist with equipment changeovers to support production and quality standards.
  • Assist with special projects like equipment moves, work cell setup, and installations.
  • Complete scheduled project work by deadlines.
  • Communicate schedule changes for projects to group leader.
  • Work with PLCs, robotics, and vision systems.
  • Develop reports and provide status updates.
  • Adhere to all third-party maintenance certifications.
  • Provide training to staff to support goals and objectives.

Quality / Continuous Improvements

  • Follow maintenance-related quality procedures and work instructions.
  • Authority to stop production to correct quality issues.
  • Practice housekeeping to support 5S efforts.
  • Participate in equipment design, selection, installation, commissioning, and validation.
  • Review technical drawings to recommend new supplies and maintenance methods.
  • Improve preventive/predictive maintenance to minimize downtime.

Education and Required Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Preferred education in maintenance-related studies (machining, HVAC, electrical, PLC, etc.).
  • Preferred 3 years of experience in manufacturing/industrial maintenance.
