DSI is a 33 year old, Top 200 EW Electrical Distributor. DSI is a full line electrical distributor and provider of supply chain management and logistics solutions with brick and mortar locations across the Southeast US. DSI is in search of an IT Helpdesk Assistant to provide comprehensive support to the IT Manager in day-to-day operations. Responsibilities included but not limited to:

• Majority of time spent will be providing Helpdesk support by diagnosing and resolving a range of computer-related issues spanning hardware (including Servers, Windows desktops, phones, etc.), software, VPN connectivity, printing problems, system failures, IP telephony, and other technology-related matters. Escalating tickets when necessary.
• Generating and distributing reports via Crystal Reports, Excel, and other reporting methods such as Power BI.
• Hardware computer replacement and creation of supporting wiring such as Cat 6 cable.
• Experience with managing content databases for the B2B website and Inventory-based ERP system using preferred tools such as Python, Excel, or SQL.
• Ensure software compliance and tracking of hardware inventory.
• Assisting in completing Excel bid files for customers by leveraging complex Excel formulas and pivot tables.

Requirements

• Demonstrated potential to fulfill essential job functions as outlined above.
• Prior experience in computer/device and application support.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting, problem resolution, TCP/IP networking, and Active Directory.
• Advanced knowledge and experience with Microsoft Windows 10, 11, Windows Server 2012 , Hyper-V, SQL Server 2012 , Office 365, SharePoint, and MS Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Proficiency in Excel required, with preference for SQL or Python programming experience.
• Epicor Prophet 21 ERP experience is advantageous.
• A , Net , MSP Certification preferred, or equivalent experience required. At least 3 years of experience in a Helpdesk or IT support role preferred.
• Must perform well under pressure.
• Occasional bending, reaching, lifting between 30 – 50 lbs. may be required.
• Occasional travel to company sites may be required. 
• May require occasional overtime and must pass a computer skills test during the interview process.
