We are seeking a skilled Project Manager to oversee the entire process of home construction, from initial planning and permitting to final completion and client handover. The Project Manager will be responsible for managing both modular and site-built projects, ensuring timely execution, adherence to budget constraints, and delivering exceptional quality standards. This position requires strong leadership abilities, excellent organizational skills, and a deep understanding of the home-building process.

Our office is located in Johnstown, PA. Qualified candidates must be willing and able to commute to the office and job sites in this area.

Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Coordination:

  • Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to develop comprehensive project plans.
  • Ensure all necessary permits and approvals are obtained before commencing construction.
  • Develop detailed construction schedules and ensure adherence to timelines.

Budget Management:

  • Prepare and manage project budgets, tracking expenses and ensuring cost efficiency.
  • Negotiate contracts with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing.
  • Monitor project expenditures and implement cost-saving measures where possible.

Construction Oversight:

  • Supervise on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections to assess work progress and identify any issues or deviations from plans.
  • Address any construction-related challenges promptly, implementing effective solutions to mitigate delays or setbacks.

Client Communication and Relationship Management:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on project status and addressing any concerns or inquiries.
  • Foster positive relationships with clients, promoting open communication and transparency throughout the construction process.
  • Ensure client satisfaction by delivering homes that meet or exceed their expectations in terms of quality, design, and functionality.

Team Leadership:

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of onsite construction teams, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders.
  • Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Resolve conflicts or issues that may arise among team members, promoting a positive and respectful workplace culture.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience in residential construction project management, with a focus on both modular and site-built homes.
  • Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and construction best practices.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage teams and client relationships.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools for scheduling, budgeting, and documentation.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
