Community Care of Rutherford County is Hiring a Housekeeping Floor Tech Near Murfreesboro, TN
Qualifications:
- Ability to follow directions and perform tasks on instructions
- Experience in floorcare or the ability and aptitude to learn
Floorcare is responsible to clean the building and grounds to provide a clean and safe environment for our residents, visitors and staff.
Responsibilities:
- Clean all assigned areas
- Proper care of all tools and equipment
- Economical use of all supplies
- Willingness and ability to perform routine repetitive tasks on a continuous basis
- Consideration for all residents, visitors and staff
- Accept supervision from various department heads and charge nurses as is necessary
- Accept constructive criticism from supervision
- Must be aware of standard cleaning procedures in health care
- Must be able to operate floorcare equipment
- Always use wet floor signs and remove them as soon as area is dry
- Keep all equipment stored in appropriate areas when not in use
- Keep all chemicals locked at all times
- Always question anything that appears to be unsafe
- Keep all chords on one side of the hallway
- Do not use excessive amounts of water when mopping
- Never mix chemicals
- Use all chemicals as directed and in proper dilution ratios
- If you have questions about the proper use of any chemical or equipment, ask the supervisor
- Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday
- Must be able to speak the English language in an understandable manner
- Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position
- Must possess sight/hearing senses or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately
- Must function independently and have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with the residents/personnel
- Must meet the general health requirements set forth by the policies of this facility, which include a medical and physical examination
- Must be able to relate to and work with ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and at times hostile people within the facility
- Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 25 pounds to a minimum height of 5 feet and be able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet
- May be necessary to assist in the evacuation of residents during emergency situations
