CareSpot LLC is Hiring a Female Group Home Manager: 7am-3pm Mon, Tue, Thur, Fri and Sat 19/hr. East Mesa Near Mesa, AZ

CareSpot LLC agency is a qualified vendor contracted in Arizona to provide Group home services and home and community-based support to individuals with developmental disabilities.

As a Group Home Manager, you will work with individuals with developmental disabilities and strive to achieve the highest standards possible by consistently providing excellent care and supervision to members.

CareSpot LLC needs a Full-Time Male Group Home Manager to work Mon-Fri 10am-6pm. The Group Home Manager must have experience working with Members with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This home has 3 male members.

The Group Home Manager ensures day to day operations of the group home are running per agency policies and procedures, supervises a small team of Direct Care staff, ensure medical, behavioral and social supports are implemented as outlined in ISP and are provided to all the Members within the group home.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate services and care for all Members in the home.
  • Provide a secure and responsive environment so that each Member may have the opportunity to maximize his/her physical, emotional, intellectual and spiritual abilities.
  • Maintain the day-to-day operations of one or more group homes, including the overall supervision, scheduling and coordination of staff in the home.
  • Develops and participates in Individual Support Plan (ISP) and meets with support coordinator and case manager.
  • Supports Members in all aspects of Member’s services, including community services, employment and medical and behavioral needs.
  • Administers medication management to include checking in medication and audits according to agency policy.
  • Ensuring programs meet licensing/survey requirements and contractual compliance.
  • Demonstrate competency in financial and budgetary issues.
  • Ensure that members are assisted (as relevant to the person) with supports of daily living, accessing the community, medication and medical issues when indicated.
  • Ensure that clean and safe environments are maintained.
  • Protect Members rights and assists with understanding and asserting their rights.
  • Establish and maintain supportive relationship with member’s family while communicating effectively with the director of the agency!
  • Maintain professional boundaries with Members, families, employees and personnel.
  • Ability to Fill in gaps in schedule when needed and working some weekends.
  • Documentation (writing progress notes, service logs, headcounts and other paperwork etc.)
  • Transporting members through and from their appointments
  • Preparing healthy meals and snacks for the members and encouraging healthy eating habits.

Qualifications:

  • A desire, interest and experience in working with people with developmental disabilities or special needs is a strong requirement.
  • At least 1 years of full-time direct service with persons with intellectual disabilities, human services, healthcare or special education’
  • Must be at least 21 years of age, have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
  • Must be able to complete a successful background check, and obtain a Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain all required trainings such as CPR, First Aid, and Prevention and Support, and article 9.
  • Prior Group Home Supervisor experience
  • Demonstrate exceptional leadership skills.
  • Strong verbal, written and computer skills.
  • Must demonstrate the emotional maturity and patience necessary to understand and accept the social, psychological and emotional needs of adults with developmental disabilities nurturing his/her self-sufficiency and enhancing their quality of life.
  • Must have the ability to use effective decision-making skills and problem solving as quick as possible.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and be on call including weekends.
  • Must be self-directed and work with minimal supervision.
  • Must have the ability to represent CareSpot LLC in a positive manner within the community.
