Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Insurance Biller to join our team. As an Insurance Biller, you will play a crucial role in working closely with Home Care Medical Equipment staff and patients to ensure products are billed correctly through patient's insurance carrier, posting payments in Accounts Receivable billing software, end of month statements, follow up and more!

Duties:
- Ensure accurate and timely submission of medical claims to Medicare, Medicaid and other insurance companies
- Verify patient insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations for procedures
- Maintain patient records and update electronic health record systems
- Handle medical billing inquiries from patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers
- Follow up on unpaid claims
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure proper documentation for coding purposes
- Stay updated on changes in coding guidelines and regulations

Skills:
- Proficient in medical terminology, working with patient health information, confidentiality
- Strong knowledge of medical records management processes
- Familiarity with medical billing systems and procedures
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in coding assignments
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Effective communication skills to interact with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers

The individual in this position will be a part of our Saturday rotation with the Home Care Medical personnel. There will be cross training within the Home Care department for coverage when needed.

Experience is preferred but not required. We will train the right individual. Pay based on experience.
