Position Summary:
This part-time position is responsible for operating the main switchboard, routing calls, and answering basic questions as well as greeting and directing visitors to the College. The Receptionist will also assist the office of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management with student support efforts.
Specific Responsibilities:
1. Promptly answers incoming telephone calls that come through to the main line of the College, and ensures that all calls are routed to the appropriate individual or department.
2. Promotes a high-quality and efficient service culture.
3. Greet all students, staff, and visitors in a polite, friendly, professional manner.
4. Coordinate safe entrance and exits of all students, staff, and visitors, at all entrance doors ensuring they are signed in and out and that no unauthorized person gains access.
5. Answers inquiries relating to matters connected with the day-to-day running of the College.
6. Maintains information in a confidential manner.
7. Use and input student information into the Jenzabar system.
8. Assists admission and student support with clerical tasks, making appointments for academic advisors, making recruiting calls to prospective students, assists with preparing and executing enrollment and recruiting events.
9. Sign for, checks, and distributes deliveries.
10. Other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
F for Frequent (6 hours daily), M for Moderate (4-6 hours daily), O for Occasional (2-4 hours daily) or R for Rarely(>2 hours daily).

Position Requirements:
1. Associate’s Degree in Secretarial Science, or an area related to duties of the position; or
2. Six months of experience as a main phone/switchboard operator, performing clerical tasks and applying customer service skills; or
3. The equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the assigned duties.
