Hart Industries is Hiring a Quality Inspector Near Sterling, MI

Quality Inspector

Hart Industries is looking for a full-time Quality Inspector to join our expanding team. Located in the city of Sterling Heights, Hart Industries is a ISO 9001:2015 certified machine shop specializing in CNC Machining and outsourcing solutions. Working as a strategic partner, Hart Industries delivers precision machined component parts with the highest standard of quality, on time. We are looking for a team player who is reliable, detail orientated and hardworking with the ability to work with minimal direction.

Qualifications of a Quality Inspector:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to read a blueprints
  • Basic math and analytical skills
  • Ability to use inspection equipment, calipers, micrometer, height gauge, shadow graft etc.
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction
  • 2 year quality control experience in a job shop setting

Job Responsibilities of a Quality Inspector:

  • Inspect and approve incoming material
  • Conduct first piece inspection
  • Inspects in-process production by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and communicating any required adjustments to the team
  • Set operator up for success with work instructions and testing equipment for in process checks on critical dimensions
  • Resolve quality related issues in a timely manner
  • Complete final inspection paperwork per customers specifications
  • Maintain calibration records and ensure compliance with Quality Manual
  • Conduct root cause analysis and respond to non-conformance requests when necessary
  • Maintain and contribute to the continues improvement of our ISO 9001:2015 certification
