The Madison Concourse Hotel has an opening for a full-time Maintenance Engineer Technician to join our close-knit Engineering department. We are looking for someone who has a great eye for detail, can provide great customer service, and takes pride in their work. The Maintenance Engineer performs a variety of tasks to ensure our facilities are in excellent condition in order to provide superb service to our guests.Our engineering team works 8 hour shifts starting as early as 7am and ending as late as 11pm. The ideal candidate will availability to work weekends on a rotating schedule and potential mix of morning and evening shifts .While not required, previous maintenance experience- especially in a hotel environment- is strongly preferred.We offer a competitive starting wage of $18-$20, depending on experience.Responsibilities:Maintenance and RepairsConduct maintenance and repairs on various hotel systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, painting, carpentry, and structural components.Preventative MaintenanceImplement preventative maintenance procedures to ensure the ongoing functionality and safety of our facilities.Inspectguest rooms, public spaces and work areas for needed and preventative maintenance.Safety FirstAdhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, ensuring a secure and well-maintained working environment.Guest ServiceRespond promptly to guest maintenance requests and team member work orders, ensuring their needs are met with courtesy and efficiency.CollaborationWork closely with hotel team, vendors, and contractors to coordinate maintenance and repair activities.DocumentationMaintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities, helping to track and improve our maintenance processes.Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications:Previous Maintenance Experience : While not required, previous maintenance experience, especially in a hotel environment, is strongly preferred.Passion for Maintenance : A genuine passion for keeping our facilities impeccable and a desire to ensure the comfort of our guests.Problem Solver : Excellent problem solving skills and a knack for fixing things.Customer Service : Exceptional customer service skills, providing prompt and courteous service to guests and team members.Technical Skills : Knowledge of maintenance and repair in areas such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, painting and general building systems.Team Player : Collaborate with colleague and management, contributing to a harmonious and efficient work environment.Adaptability : Thrive in a dynamic environment, adjusting to evolving maintenance needs.Perks & BenefitsWe hire the most highly qualified people available and provide a competitive benefits package which includes:Free employee parkingFree employee mealDiscounted hotel rooms401-K matching retirement planPaid time offCash Advance: Get the money you've already earned from work before your paycheck arrives!
