Psychiatric hospital in LA County is looking to hire a Full-Time Manager of Medical Staff Services
Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. In addition to base pay, there may be additional compensation available for roles, including but not limited to shift differential and other special pay practices, etc. The posted compensation for the position is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay at Glendora Hospital in good faith for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting.
Job Requirements
· Education: Minimum Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree (preferred) in health care administration, business administration, human resources, or related field.
· Work Experience: Minimum Five (5) years of experience in a medical staff office or credentialing setting. Three (3) years recent physician credentialing or medical staff office experience.
· Preferred Licenses & Certifications: Minimum Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) or Certified Professional Medical Services Management (CPMSM).
Preferred/Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
Job Specific Duties
· Effectively runs the Medical Staff Services office and supervises the Medical Staff Coordinator.
· Attends meetings and provides guidance, resources and support to the Medical Staff Officers and assists with the resolution of actions taken.
· Prepares, organizes and follows-up as necessary to assure maintenance of hospital accreditation and licensure.
· Effectively prepares agendas and accurately records attendance and minutes at a variety of medical staff committee meetings; records and follows up proceedings timely and accurately.
· Demonstrates working knowledge of Medical Staff Bylaws/Rules and Regulations,TJC standards for medical staff and effectively develops Medical Staff bylaws revisions/additions.
· Effectively interacts with clinical and management staff.
· Accurately completes Board of Directors report of medical staff committee meeting activities and presents report to the Board at the scheduled meetings.
· Effectively assists the C.E.O. in scheduling correspondence and special projects
· Effectively assists the Chairman of the Board of Directors as directed.
· Effectively performs additional duties and responsibilities as position requires.
· Exhibits behavior that is courteous, compassionate, polite, friendly, and respectful towards patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers and extends self to make patients, visitors, clinical staff, and peers feel welcome and respected.

Pay: $34.07 - $53.23 per hour
