Overview:
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Direct Care Workers. As a Direct Care Worker, you will provide essential care and support to individuals with autism, developmental disabilities. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of others.
Duties:
- Assist individuals with daily activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behaviors and ensure a safe environment
- Provide companionship and emotional support to individuals under your care
- Monitor vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals
- Assist with transportation needs, including driving individuals to appointments or outings
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and any observations or incidents
Qualifications:
- Experience working with individuals with autism, developmental disabilities is preferred but not necessary
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with individuals of diverse backgrounds
- Knowledge of caregiving systems and best practices for providing quality care
- Ability to perform basic medical tasks such as taking vital signs
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
