As a member of the Leadership Team, working closely with and reporting to the Executive Director, the Development Director is responsible for nonprofit fundraising for the organization. Duties include cultivating, soliciting, and networking with key external relationships (individuals, public entities, corporations, and foundations); initiating grant writing and completing reporting; coordinating and executing funding opportunities (fundraisers, direct donor appeals, and donor engagement activities); working closely with board members, committees, and staff; assisting with the planning and coordination of capital campaigns; engaging in marketing activities; and managing donor databases.
A bachelor’s degree and previous fundraising experience are required. A related advanced degree and grant writing experience is a plus. Must have excellent relationship, communication, organizational, and project management skills. Must be able to work independently and in a team setting. Full-time.
