Position Overview:

The Security Dispatcher is responsible for coordinating and dispatching personnel to various locations as per CSSI requirements. Security Dispatchers serve as the central point of contact for all security-related communications, ensuring timely response to incidents, emergencies, and requests for assistance. The role requires excellent communication skills, quick decision-making abilities, and a strong understanding of security protocols. 

Key Responsibilities:

Dispatch Operations:

- Receive and prioritize incoming calls, emails, or other communication channels regarding security concerns, alarms, or requests for assistance. 

- Coordinate and dispatch security personnel to designated locations based on the nature and urgency of each incident or request.

- Maintain accurate records of all dispatch activities, including incident reports, response times, and outcomes. 

Communication:

- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal staff, external agencies, and emergency services regarding security matters.

- Communicate effectively with security personnel in the field, providing instructions, updates, and support as needed. 

- Relay pertinent information to relevant stakeholders, including supervisors, managers, and other departments. 

Monitoring and Surveillance:

- Monitor security systems, including CCTV cameras, alarms, and access control systems, to detect and respond to suspicious activities or breaches. 

- Alert appropriate personnel and initiate response procedures in the event of security breaches, unauthorized access, or other incidents. 

Emergency Response:

- Act swiftly and decisively during emergencies, such as fires, medical emergencies, or security threats, by coordinating the response efforts to security personnel and liaising with external emergency services. 

- Follow established protocols and procedures for handling various types of emergencies, ensuring the safety and security of all individuals on-site. 

Documentation and Reports:

- Document all incidents, alarms, and responses in accordance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements. 

- Prepare detailed incident reports, including description of events, actions taken and follow up requirements. 

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time

• Ability to lift and carry up to 35 pounds

Work Schedule:

This is a full time or part time position with varying shifts (2nd and 3rd shift) including nights, weekends and holidays, based on operational needs.
