Full Time Teller: 40 Hours per week

Purpose 

Provide friendly personalized service to Bank customers; establish rapport to recognize and meet their banking needs. Perform financial transactions for customers accurately and efficiently. Accurately balance teller window, and adhere to set policies and procedures. Respond to customers’ financial needs by actively participating in the consultative sales process. Maintain and apply a working knowledge of all applicable banking regulations.Keep all customer and proprietary Bank and customer information and assets safe and secure.Perform additionally assigned duties.

Scope of Job 

Provide superior customer service while processing customer transactions and performing daily retail-banking functions accurately and efficiently. Possess a working knowledge of bank products and services. Actively cross-sell products and services, and make appropriate referrals. Comply with applicable banking regulations as well as Bank policies and procedures. 

Essential Functions - may include, but are not limited to: 

·Ensure company service standards are continually achieved in areas of responsibility. 

·Process customer financial transactions accurately, efficiently, and courteously. 

·Establish an open dialogue with customers to cross-sell Bank products and services, make referrals to appropriate parties, in order to meet their banking needs while maintaining the Bank’s privacy standards. 

·Contribute to the achievement of established branch goals by recognizing and acting upon sales and referral opportunities. 

·Recognize and properly report any and all fraudulent, counterfeit or suspicious activity by customers or employees to the Security Department. 

·Maintain a safe and secure working environment by adhering to established security procedures. 

·Maintain authorized cash supply. 

·Accurately balance teller window and/or ATM machine daily. 

·Work within the framework of the Bank’s security policy and program and the Bank’s loss prevention guidelines 

·Accurately complete forms, applications, and reports in accordance with procedures. 

Compliance 

·knowledge of Bank policies and procedures, State and Federal laws and regulations 

·responsible for compliance regulations related to this position and receiving appropriate training including but not limited to:

Annually 

ØBank Secrecy Act (BSA) 

ØOffice of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) 

ØUSA Patriot Act 

ØAll other applicable compliance regulations are identified by subject matter experts and are listed in the master compliance training spreadsheet 

Other Functions 

·Perform daily side-work including safe deposit boxes, tax payments, Savings Bonds, loan payments, Travelers Cheques, cash advances, daily mail, process coin/night deposit transactions, microfilm transit. 

·Type, file, stock supplies, and maintain a neat and orderly work area. 

·May provide services at drive-up window or branch offices as assigned. 

·Ensure activities within assigned functional area of responsibility are in compliance with Bank policy and State and Federal Regulations. 

·Attend/participate in training as assigned. 

·Perform other duties as requested.

Education and Experience 

High school diploma required.One-year customer service and/or cash handling experience, or some comparable combination of education and experience.
