Doggie Zen Den is Hiring a Kennel Technician Near Plano, TX

Love dogs and their people? So do we! Join our team as a Kennel Technician to help us care for our client families' beloved pets. We have been in business for more than 20 years and have cared for multiple generations of family dogs.

Job Type: Part to Full Time

Hours Needed: M-F 6 am to noon, if you need to be done earlier than noon -- let's discuss!

Duties

  • Assist in care for our dogs before opening hours
  • Feed, water, and exercise animals according to their specific needs
  • Monitor dogs during let outs to ensure safe outdoor time and play
  • Clean and sanitize kennels, cages, and other facility areas
  • Administer medications and treatments
  • Monitor the health and behavior of animals and report any concerns

Qualifications

  • Previous experience working in the dog care industry is required; experience in a kennel technician or similar role is preferred
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, and kneeling
  • Comfort with dogs of all breeds and sizes
