South Suburban Commercial Printing and Mailing company seeking full-time Ink Jet Press/ Finishing Line operator.

Position Summary:

The Ink Jet Press and Finishing Line Operator ensures that daily work schedule is completed in a timely and efficient manner. This includes running an Ink Jet Press (Prostream) and Finishing Line (Hunkler) on a range of different substrates. The Ink Jet Press Operator will also be responsible for the daily and weekly maintenance required to keep the press and finishing line in good operating condition. As well as be able to diagnose printing and quality issues.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ability to learn how to run Ink Jet printing and finishing equipment both. Ability to keep production moving in a deadline orientated work environment.
• Performs weekly cleaning and minor preventative maintenance on equipment to limit downtime.
• Communicates with Production and Sales staff to offer suggestions on workflow improvements
• Responsible for ordering inventory of printing supplies and some parts needed for production.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of production equipment, mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to read, understand, follow job tickets and follow safety standards.
• Must be flexible to work overtime and weekends if needed.
• Strong communication and time management skills
• Ability to maintain and develop internal relationships among different departments.

Qualifications:

• Must have a minimum 1 year of digital/ Ink Jet printing experience or Knowledge and Expierence of Finishing Line operation.
• Experience maintaining digital print equipment or the mechanical aptitude to learn.
• Attention to detail.
• Must be available for weekends when needed.
