Southern Tea Company, LLC, is seeking a MACHINE OPERATOR for our Marietta, GA high speed tea bag manufacturing facility. Southern Tea is a division of Harris Freeman that imports, blends, packages, and warehouses specialty teas for a wide variety of retail and food service customers. We are looking to fill positions on 1st Shift

• 1st shift - 6:30am - 3pm

YOU WILL BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE AS YOU DEMONSTRATE ACCOMPLISHMENT IN:

• Operation of all production machines
• Assist in setting up pack lines including coders and tape machines
• Perform quality checks and material releases as set forth during training
• Maintaining a clean and organized work environment/warehouse
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and respond quickly to changing conditions
• Checks all coding, labelling to ensure legible and correct.
• Complete re-boxing/rework as directed by the line Lead or Line Manager.
• Ensure product meets all aspects of the customer specifications to the highest possible quality standard.
• Check for material quality defects in tea bags, cartons, envelopes, and overwrap.
• Check for operational quality defects i.e. excess or incorrect gluing, machine damage to cartons or alignment issues

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $21.50 per hour

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Machine operator -Production: 1 year (Required)
• Production/Manufacturing: 2 years (Required)
