Asembia is Hiring a Benefits Specialist( Corporate ) Near Florham Park, NJ

Asembia is leading the specialty pharmacy industry with channel management solutions, commercialization strategies and specialty pharmacy support services. The foundation of our business is based upon our senior level experts and well-established relationships with manufacturers, specialty pharmacies and payers.

Primary Function:

Administer the company's employee benefits program, which may include retirement plans, leave policies, wellness programs, and insurance policies such as health, life, and disability.

Job Scope and Major Responsibilities:

  • Conducts employee meetings and arranges for enrollment of employees in optional plans.
  • Conducts employee benefit seminars for local personnel.
  • Revises and reissues all communications material on benefits.
  • Advises and counsels management and employees on existing benefits.
  • Manage various open enrollments such as but not limited to COBRA, HSA, FSA, and health insurance open enrollment periods
  • Develop and maintain a benefits FAQ web document that addresses the most asked questions regarding health insurance, disability insurance, life insurance, workers' compensation, FSA, HSA, 401(k), and PTO/vacations
  • Provide accounting with Lincoln, MetLife, UNUM, and VBA invoices
  • Audit invoicing for billing areas
  • Review 401(k) loan requests and process as appropriate either approving or requesting additional information for hardship withdrawals. Ensure employees are aware of the risks taking out a loan.
  • Manage associate leave of absences in accordance with company policy including ensuring employee contributions to health benefits
  • Manage workers’ compensation program maximizing light or modified duty to ensure employees continue to contribute to company productivity
  • Conduct wellness calls for those who are No Call/No Show after three (3) consecutive days of absence
  • Compliance with the provisions of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 and its implementing regulations, as amended (“HIPAA”)

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum 5 years’ Benefits experience
  • In-depth understanding of Benefits
  • Excellent customer service
