A Physical Education/Health teacher at Blue Hills can expect to:●Develop and implement engaging physical education and health curricula aligned with state standards for use in our school’s Gymnasium, Wellness Center, and Pool.●Plan and lead age-appropriate physical activities, sports, and fitness exercises to improve students' coordination, and physical fitness levels.●Teach comprehensive health education topics, including nutrition, hygiene, mental health, substance abuse prevention, and sexual health.●Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation, teamwork, and positive peer interactions.●Assess student progress through various methods, such as observations, quizzes, tests, and fitness assessments.●Provide constructive feedback to students and collaborate with parents/guardians to support student growth and development.●Supervise and ensure the safety of students during physical education classes.
