WAREHOUSE ASSOCIATE NEEDED IN GARDINER, ME!

This position will perform the duties associated with shipping, receiving, and storing of products or supplies into and out of a warehouse location.

The Warehouse Associate fulfills orders in a timely manner, is a team player with a customer service centered mindset. Manages their routine workflow and responsibilities with accuracy, integrity, and timeliness. Works as an integral part of our warehousing team to accomplish any other duties required.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Unloading trucks and trailers with supplies into the warehouse and storing in proper locations.
• Loading trucks and trailers with supplies going out to local station and/or other stations across the country.
• Maintain multiple warehouse locations in a clean and orderly manner.
• Operate warehouse equipment including buy not limited to standard forklift, Hi-Stack order picker (14ft lift height), Tractors, etc.
• General warehouse work such as off-loading delivery trucks, organizing, stacking and inventory cycle counts of products.
• Building loads by pulling supply request for all shipments.
• Transport supplies from Warehouse to other loading docks by way of farm pick-up or short truck.
• Assist with and/or perform additional duties as required by operating needs of the company or as directed by Supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

• Preferred ability to operate a commercial vehicle, including but not limited to a box truck, manual transmission, and/or other heavy equipment

• Ability to read & comprehend English, write legibly and possess basic arithmetic skills.
• Ability to work as a team with others to successfully accomplish daily tasks and functions at a quick pace.
• Self-motivated and can perform duties/responsibilities without constant supervision.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
• Ability to follow directions and ability to work with little to no supervision.
• Ability to successfully communicate with multiple departments and personnel to get materials accurately loaded and unloaded as needed.

Must be able to work daily and weekend overtime during peak seasons

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
Working Conditions: Both indoor and outside work environments. Regular exposure to cold and hot temperatures, wet or humid conditions and outdoor weather conditions. Exposure to dust due to general office/warehouse environment.

Risk/Safety Conditions:Moving mechanical parts and machinery, airborne particles, high temperatures, greenhouse chemical movement & potential contact, forklift operation and elevated work heights. There is a moderate stress level due to the rapid work pace, multiple department interaction and assisting upper management activities.

Essential Physical Activities: Walking, Sitting, driving, hearing, talking, standing, ability to lift and stack minimum of 50 pounds, climbing, stooping, and crouching.
