The primary function of Route Helper/Merchandiser is to assist the Route Sales Representative in tending to, displaying, and merchandising our plants in the stores. Merchandiser shall perform these services at such times as the Sales Rep may direct. Merchandiser shall dress in modest conservative apparel.

Essential Functions of the Route Helper/Merchandiser position are:

• Assist the sales rep in the tending and watering of our plants and the protection of them from adverse weather conditions.
• Assist the sales rep in culling unsellable product on our racks by pulling them off the shelves and storing them for pick-up when the sales rep arrives.
• Assist the sales rep in ordering plants.
• Assist the sales rep by collecting and stacking all used trays for pick-up when the sales rep arrives.
• Assist the sales rep in merchandising Bonnie plants that may be temporary stored on rolling racks by transferring them onto our permanent rack fixtures according to striping and grouping policies under the correct signage.
• Assist the sales rep in putting promotional signage up and taking them down.
• Assist the sales rep in unloading and loading items from their truck.
• Assist the sales rep with rack building and breakdown.
• Assist the sales rep in communicating with customers and selling Bonnie plants.
• Assist the sales rep in communicating with store personnel.
• Always communicate with people in a respectful kind manner.
• Such other duties as the sales rep may reasonably request.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, climb, sit, bend, stoop, and reach arms over head. Employee must be able to work in environmental conditions such as: rain, humid weather and extreme hot and cold temperatures. Employee must be able to tolerate loud noise and vibrations from riding in a truck.
