North Star Management is seeking a Housing Specialist to assist in all areas regarding compliance with Tax Credit and affordable housing programs.

The functions of this position are:

• Gathers, completes and submits all materials necessary to complete annual/periodic State/Syndicator compliance audits.
• Ensures timely compliance with Tax Credit and Section 8 recertification timelines.
• Ensures timely completion of Section 8/Section 42 annual recertification process.
• Performs resident file inspections to ensure all documentation and filing requirements are met and that the documentation is complete and correct.
• Determines appropriate qualification documentation and directs site staff in obtaining this information.
• Other job duties at required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Prior experience working on tax credit and affordable housing compliance.
• Prior experience working in property management.
• Experience with RealPage software strongly encouraged.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Strong organization and customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask to meet time-sensitive deadlines.
• Team-oriented.
• Detail-oriented, with strong organizational, problem-solving and administrative skills.
• Ability to exercise judgment and suggest creative approaches to new issues.
• Possesses initiative and thrives in a fast-paced work environment.
