Inside Sales Representative

Position: Inside Sales Leader

The ideal candidate for this position:

Compensation:

  • Hourly wage commensurate on experience and skillset
  • Commission based on closing rate

Paid Training:

  • Yes

Schedule: 5 days a week 8am-6pm

Experience:

  • 5 years of sales (preferred)
  • 5 years of customer service (preferred)
  • Experience in the moving industry (preferred but not necessary)

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A SALES/CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE:

As a Sales/Customer Service Representative, you are the primary contact for our clients. You start each day excited to establish new relationships while continuing to nurture existing ones. By initial and continual phone conversation/messaging through our online portal with our clients, you are able to build an excellent rapport and more effectively educate them about our services. Your excellent communication skills are an essential part of your success, as you propose a customized moving plan for each client and give price quotes. You are able to assist in guiding the client through the moving process to make their move stress-free. You are also resourceful and go above and beyond to determine which moving plan is best for the client. To complete sales, you collect and enter the client's information all while providing superior customer service.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Greet customers in a courteous, friendly, and professional manner
  • Listen attentively to customer needs and concerns; demonstrate empathy.
  • Clarify customer requirements; probe for and confirm understanding of needs.
  • Meet customer requirements by providing personalized solutions, especially if services do not fall into the customers moving budget.
  • Confirm customer understanding and provide additional customer education as needed.
  • Get a description of the customer’s contents and notate inventory in the crew member notes on the customers file.
  • Determine whether the customer is moving from an apartment or house, with or without stairs
  • Determine the square footage of the customers home/apartment/ commercial space/storage
  • Determine how many bedrooms a customer has
  • Determine how the customer heard about our company
  • Determine if a customers move will be local, out of state, residential, commercial, full service or labor only.
  • Keep in constant contact with the customer while monitoring unexpected and dangerous weather conditions. Monitor the doppler.
  • Assist in rescheduling due to customer closing dates, weather, etc.
  • Follow up with the customer the same day after services have been rendered in order to get feedback of the services provided.
  • For satisfied customers prompt them to leave a Google review, written or star rating, by sending our review link to a customer via text message or email. May offer to walk them through on the computer to leave a review.
  • If a customer has not left a review in 2 days after verbal feedback has been given, resend the review link once more.
  • Be proactive in following up with customers the day after their initial call in to the company to inquire about services offered.
  • Provide innovative and intuitive sales pitch to close the sale
  • Be creative in gaining new clients or securing contracts
  • Be able to navigate and manage our POS system.
  • Use our POS system to your full advantage by setting yourself reminders/notifications of customers you need to follow up with, get an answer for, etc.
  • Maintain courteousness, professional, care, and empathy.
  • Be able to deal with customer complaints and submit damage claims to operations manager.
  • Be able to get a customers card information and take initial deposit/service fee during the booking process.
  • Be able to multi-task.
  • Know which supplies are necessary for labor only jobs in order to tell the customer what they will need to provide to make sure their belongings are safe and secure during transport.
  • Know which supplies and equipment is used in the moving industry in order to move basic household goods, and be able to relay this information to the customer, if prompted.
  • Educate the customer on company policy and procedures when it comes to the materials used to pack, load and unload their belongings.
  • Know company insurance policy and be able to inform the customer if prompted. May also suggest additional insurance through a 3rd party.
  • Suggest better ways to improve customer service position and skill.
  • Suggest additional follow up templates for sales, reviews and overall customer satisfaction.
  • Must have a company iPad to bring along while on call
  • Must be able to schedule bookings to ensure that deliveries are made in a timely manner
  • Must maintain contact with drivers/team leader throughout their shifts on a daily basis to monitor job progress and address any issues they might have
  • Must update customers on the status of their deliveries including any delays that occur

Pay: $27,800.00 - $34,200.00 per year
