Earnings potential can be $19 per hour or higher. E arnings consist of a base wage of $17.00, and our achieve bonus program. Here is how our wages work: Based on your individual performance at 80% performance your wage with bonus equates to $17.63 per hour; at 100% performance your wage now equates to $18.91 and increases as your performance % increases. We also have bonuses based on our facility efficiencies - at 64% efficiency you can earn an additional .21 per hour (teamwork key).
In addition to the above bonus, we have bonus incentives for these positions (equipment, shipping and certain jobs in our receiving area). The additional bonus increases your hourly rate from an additional $1 to $1.50 with performance starting at 80%.
2nd shift receives an additional $1.00 per hour differential pay.

Job Purpose:
Our Operations Team is in search of associates for our Charlotte Distribution Center located on General Drive (1.7 miles from I-485 and 1 mile from I-77. In this role, you'll be responsible for providing exceptional service to all Big Rock Sports customers by performing one of the Distribution Center's job functions in a safe, accurate, and efficient manner.
Duties and Responsibilities:

• Desire to work and be cross trained over multiple departments.
• Develop and maintain an appropriate level of understanding of distribution center operations.
• MUST maintain performance level of 80% or higher .
• Maintain productivity, quality, and safety standards, while ensuring that all work is performed with a consistent sense of efficiency and urgency.
• Work in compliance with all company, operations, systems, and safety related policies and procedures.
• Maintain an acceptable level of attendance.
• Perform housekeeping and other duties and responsibilities, as assigned.

Qualifications:

• 18 years or older.
• Good understanding of English language verbal and reading.
• Successful completion of criminal background check and drug testing.
• High school diploma or GED or an equivalent combination of related experience, training, and/or education.
• Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment (limited heat or air conditioning)
• Minimum of one-year distribution center experience is a plus.
• Experience with various equipment such as hand-trucks, reach trucks, order pickers a plus or ability to obtain and maintain powered industrial equipment certification is a plus.
• Experience with RF scanner preferred.
• Experience with a High Jump added plus.
• Effective communication skills, including the ability to read and write legibly and to understand and carry out oral and written instructions.
• Strong basic math skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work overtime, including occasional Saturdays.
• Complete understanding of safety and risk management

Hours:
1st shift - Monday - Friday 5:00 am to 1:30 pm
2nd shift - Monday - Friday 1:30pm - 10pm
All shifts must have the flexibility to work additional time and required Saturdays when needed based on business needs.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to perform work that involves standing, walking, and bending for a minimum of eight hours.
Able to continuously lift to 30 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.
