We are in search of full-time warehouse experienced equipment operators (fork lift and Cherry order picker) In this role, you’ll be responsible for providing exceptional service to all Big Rock Sports customers by processing orders and handling product in a safe and efficient manner.

Earnings consist of a base wage of $16.00 plus $1.00 differential for equipment, and our achieve bonus program. Here is how our wages work: Based on your individual performance at 80% performance your wage with bonus equates to $17.80 per hour; at 100% performance your wage now equates to $20.52 and increases as your performance % increases. We also have bonuses based on our facility efficiencies – at 75% efficiency you can earn an additional .20 per hour (teamwork key).

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain an appropriate level of understanding of distribution center operations; 
• Maintain productivity, quality, and safety standards, while ensuring that all work is performed with a consistent sense of efficiency and urgency; 
• Work in compliance with all company, operations, systems, and safety related policies and procedures;
• Process customer orders in the distribution center by manually selecting the correct products for the customer orders using a RF device. 
• Operate equipment including forklifts, reach trucks stand up order pickers and various other equipment safely and efficiently
• Able to work in high spaces;
• Validate that the correct product has been selected and is defect and damage free; 
• Able to meet or exceed minimum picking requirements;
• Report any defects or damages, resolve problems with manager assistance;
• Maintain an acceptable level of attendance;
• Perform housekeeping and other duties and responsibilities, as assigned.

 Qualifications:

• 18 years or older;
• Successful completion of criminal background check and drug screening;
• High school diploma or GED or an equivalent combination of related experience, training, and/or education;
• Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment (limited heat or air conditioning)
• Minimum of one-year experience with various equipment such as reach-trucks, hand-trucks, and forklift and maintain powered industrial equipment certification for equipment operators;
• One year of order picking with handheld and/or wrist RF scanner preferred; 
• Experience with WDS or WMS preferred;
• Effective communication skills, including the ability to read and write legibly and to understand and carry out oral and written instructions; 
• English language fluency preferred;
• Strong basic math skills and attention to detail;
• Ability to work overtime, including occasional Saturdays;
• Complete understanding of safety and risk management

Hours:

1^st shift - Monday – Friday 6 - 2:30 and 8 - 4:30 

All shifts must have the flexibility to work additional time and required Saturdays when needed based on business needs.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to perform work that involves standing, walking, and bending for a minimum of eight hours;
• Able to continuously lift to 30 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.
