Senior Day Porter

Position Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Day Porter with expertise in building maintenance to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working in high-rise buildings and will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, safety, and overall maintenance of the property during daytime hours.

Key Areas of Responsibility

• Wipe excess water off vanities, empty trash and restock paper supplies throughout restrooms.
• Check/maintain all restroom hardware for proper operation
• Check/maintain all restrooms and clean toilets as needed
• Dust all restroom surfaces, including partitions and furniture as required
• Clean/polish all wood, metal and glass finishes
• Vacuum and mop all restroom, lobby and common area floors as necessary
• Clean common area wall finishes
• Pick up trash throughout exterior grounds, sweep building entranceways and empty ash/trash receptacles as necessary.
• Empty trash throughout common areas and tenant spaces as may be required during the day.
• Clean all building entranceway glass
• Assist in snow removal services at building entryway as necessary
• Assume additional duties as delegated by management
• Coordination and communications with Engineering / Maintenance Staff
• Coordination and communications with tenants, customers and building occupants
• Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, and company directives as relates to building operations and practice safe work habits.
• Be courteous, neat, clean, and in proper uniform; always representing the Company in a professional, moral, and ethical manner.
• Respond to, prioritize, and complete assigned work orders via the MRI Workspeed (work order tracking system)

Education, Experience and Skills Required

• 2-5 years prior experience (janitorial and/or maintenance). Experience in commercial office arena preferred.
• Ability to work independently and be responsive to frequent schedule changes.
• Ability to respond to tenant calls as needed
• Ability to resolve customer issues
• Must have prior experience with plumbing & electrical, painting and drywall repairs
• Must possess excellent communication skills
• Must be able to prioritize tasks and complete duties timely
• Must have knowledge of safety protocols related to commercial buildings
• Must have basic understanding of computer systems and/or work order system
• Prefer management/team experience- leadership in janitorial a plus

• Be courteous, neat, clean, and in proper uniform
• Will require driving between various building
• Must be able to prioritize tasks and complete duties in a timely manner

• Physical requirements include climbing ladders, stooping, standing, bending, stretching and regularly lifting 50 pounds or more
