Southeastern Extrusion and Tool, Inc., established in 1971, is the largest independently owned and operated manufacturer of Aluminum extrusion dies and tooling in North America. Southeastern is a precision machine shop using state of the art Mazak CNC Mills, CNC Lathes, EDM wire and sinker machines and other highly technologically advanced equipment to create a quality product. Accounts Payable Accountabilities

This job requires attendance to the office daily, Monday - Friday, 30-36 hours per week. Employee must be punctual, strong skills in communication, MicroSoft Office.

Transactions

• Ensure that accounts payable are paid in a timely manner
• Ensure that all reasonable discounts are taken on accounts payable
• Help in process payroll
• Ensure that periodic bank/credit card reconciliations are completed
• Maintain the chart of accounts
• Maintain an orderly accounting filing system
• Maintain a system of controls over payable accounting transactions

Reporting

• Issue timely and complete financial reports as needed
• Aid in the preparation of the corporate annual report
• Reconciling credit card statements
• Provide financial analyses as needed, in particular for capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations

Compliance

• Cooperate with the provision of information to external auditors for the annual audit
• Comply with local, state, and federal government requirements

Qualifications

The accounts payable candidate will have a 2 years experience in accounts payable, Education in accounting or business administration, or equivalent business experience, Preference will be given to candidates with accounting degrees.
