Job Summary:

Opportunities are available for candidates to join an exciting growing company as a Project Designer. The Project Designer will undertake a variety of design and detailing activities, contributing to organizational development through the use of 2D and 3D technology. We are seeking candidates who can bring innovative ideas and are eager to work and advance within the dynamic realm of sports facility design and construction. The candidate will support sales, engineering, project management, shop fabrication, and field support.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Create project models in Autodesk Revit or AutoCAD, including preparation of proposal drawings, approval drawings, shop drawings, and final field use drawings.
• Generate RFI’s as needed to ensure job clarity.
• Review drawings, plans, specifications, and other customer documentation.
• Attend and participate in project-specific meetings to optimize project design efficiency while adhering to scope of work and coordinating with internal and construction schedules.
• Identify opportunities for improvement (value engineering) and provide constructive suggestions for change.
• Develop comprehensive knowledge of products and their applicability to project requirements.
• Provide clear and complete detailed drawings, including dimensions, materials, and other necessary information.
• Communicate details and complexities to ensure accurate release of information to manufacturing.
• Support other production requirements as part of the project team as workflow demands change.
• Work to reduce errors and improve drawing standards for both external and internal use.
• Ensure project tasks meet key metrics: Correct, On Time, and On Budget.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Position based on a 40-hour work week, but overtime may be required to meet project needs.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent educational background in architecture or engineering, preferably from an Architectural CADD program or similar. Relevant combinations of education and experience will also be considered.
• Certificate in Computer Aided Drafting and Design and/or previous experience.
• Proficiency with REVIT is required.
• General understanding of construction practices and principles.
• Demonstrated ability to manage/coordinate a small project (or defined portion of a larger project) from concept through construction documentation.
• Self-starter with strong organizational and detail-oriented skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines with a sense of urgency.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, and familiarity with other 3D software, Bluebeam Revu, and Office Products.
• Passion for technological advancement and personal growth.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds at times.

Salary Range: $80,000 to $85,000 per year
