Description
General Statement of Duties:
The Maintenance worker is responsible for maintaining the upkeep of the Focus: HOPE facilities
& grounds.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operate and use hand and power tools, ladders, and scaffolds and tradesman‘s tools under
the direction of the supervisor.
- Usage of materials such as oil, grease, hoses, steel, iron, hardware lumber, water, air
cleaning materials and paint.
- Grounds maintenance including grass cutting, weed whipping, etc.
- Assist other maintenance personnel workers.
- Keep work area clean and orderly.
- Perform other related duties as assigned,
Requirements
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong commitment to civil and human rights.
- Ability to work well with other colleagues.
- Ability to perform routine or non-complex maintenance tasks without assistance or
supervision.
- Dexterity
- Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
Education, Training and Experience:
- High school graduate or equivalent training and/or experience
