Job Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Rehabilitation team. As a Registered Nurse in Rehabilitation, you will provide specialized care to patients recovering from illness, injury, or surgery. Your role will be crucial in helping patients regain their independence and improve their quality of life.
Responsibilities:
- Assessing patients' physical and emotional needs and developing individualized care plans
- Administering medications, including injections, as prescribed by physicians
- Monitoring patients' vital signs and reporting any changes or concerns to the healthcare team
- Assisting with family planning and education on post-rehabilitation care
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal outcomes
- Providing wound care, including sutures and dressing changes
- Assisting with procedures such as spinal taps and ophthalmology exams
- Operating and monitoring specialized equipment, such as neonatal ventilators
- Documenting patient information accurately and maintaining electronic health records using systems like eClinicalWorks and Epic
Requirements:
- Valid Registered Nurse license in [state]
- Minimum [X] years of experience in rehabilitation nursing or a related field
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Strong knowledge of rehabilitation principles and practices
- Ability to lift and move patients with proper body mechanics
