AMERICAN QUARTER HORSE ASSOCIATION is Hiring a Youth Coordinator Near Amarillo, TX
A market-facing member of the youth team with a focus on promoting AQHYA and AQHA youth and young adult membership and involvement to the general public and throughout the horse industry. Works directly to support the strategic goals of the youth department. Actively contributes to membership growth and member development. Independently manages responsibilities and identifies opportunities to advance department objectives and AQHA’s strategic goals
Responsibilities
- Travels to AQHA, AQHYA and industry events
- Coordinates on-site presence at events in support of youth and young adult membership development.
- Outreaches to industry stakeholders to build membership and awareness of AQHA’s offerings.
- Collaborates to develop marketing content including but not limited to social media, videos, emails, articles, website content, resources and promotional materials .
- Performs analysis and provides data on results of on-site events and outreach efforts.
- Contributes to the advancement of programs related to youth, including recommending strategies, reviewing data, and seeking opportunities for growth.
- General support of youth and young adult strategies and programs
- Actively engages in efforts driving membership growth and member development.
- Updates and maintains written and digital resources, AQHA web content, digital learning tools and online resources.
- Ensures fulfillment of contracts and agreements including but not limited to deliverables, correspondence, post-analysis.
- Contributes to the daily business operations of the youth department, including but not limited to planning, efficient management of resources, and daily administrative tasks.
- Advises leadership on an ongoing basis of opportunities and risks related to youth development.
- Supports the successful management of programs, resources, events and activities for American Quarter Horse youth and young adults through activities including but not limited to:
- Correspondence and communication with members and the public
- Supporting the maintenance of records and confidential information
- Processing entries and event registrations
- Managing the department’s promotional materials, orders, payment requests and contracts
- Tracking and processing of financials
- Scheduling and correspondence related to meetings.
- Administrative support of programs, activities, and resources
- Plans and executes events and activities including but not limited to in-person, virtual and remote meetings, workshops, trips and programs.
- Attends events as required, including travel when required.
- Provides outstanding service to members and colleagues.
- Works closely with leadership in the youth department
- Provides suggestions on an ongoing basis to improve efficiency and service to members.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education Requirements: Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
Experience: Horse industry experience and youth development experience are highly preferred. Marketing knowledge is preferred. Office experience is a plus.
