Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, or equivalent from an accredited university

• Minimum of three (3) years' engineering/drafting experience supporting solid waste facilities, Oil & gas experience preferred.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D required.

Other Required Skills/Responsibilities:

• Monitors airspace consumption and forecasting of future needs by reviewing survey data.

• Responsible for the preparation of budgets for capital budgets.

• Forecast and makes recommendations for capital improvement projects/expansions.

• Ensures administration of current ordinances and governmental regulations.

• Assists with design of new landfill facility permits

• Assists with tracking and monitoring required regulatory sampling and reporting.

• The ability to take ownership of a project from start to finish

• Coordinates with operations team for the most efficient operations of the Landfill, drying operations, solidification, Scale house, and facilities.

• Consults with engineers on expansions and landfill improvements.

• Develop operation and maintenance procedures & manuals to comply with permit requirements.

• Implements and monitors process of phased closures.

• Directs the over-all technical aspects and operations of the Landfill.

• Coordinates with contractors for contracted work.

• Performs other related work (including weather or other extreme emergency duties) as required.

• Monitor leachate systems

• Monitor Slope conditions of landfills

• PC Skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, AutoCAD Civil 3D.

• Develop, track, and maintain a Project schedule.

• Strong written and oral communication skills.

• Outstanding organizational skills.
