We are looking for a Teller who receives and pays out money, and keeps records of money and negotiable instruments involved in financial transactions and handles routine customer inquiries both in person and on the telephone.

What will your day look like? You will: 

• Receives checks and cash for deposit, verifies amount, and examines checks for endorsements.
• Cashes checks and pays out money after verification of signatures and customers’ available balances.
• Enters customers' transactions into computer to record transactions, and issues computer generated receipts.
• Places hold on accounts for uncollected funds.
• Orders/ships daily supply of cash, and counts incoming cash within authorized/assigned limits.
• Balances currency, coin, and checks in cash drawer at end of shift and compares totaled amounts with data displayed on computer screen.
• Issues association checks, traveler’s checks.
• Adheres to and demonstrates a commitment to all applicable banking and compliance regulations, including but not limited to BSA, Fair Lending, and privacy laws.
• Other duties may be assigned.

What you will need for this position: 

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Six months to one year of cashing handling or banking experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
• Basic knowledge of banking environment with basic knowledge of banking, math, balancing, debits, credits, and bank products.
• Demonstrated skills in using a computer.
• Must have solid customer service and balancing skills. 
• Knowledge of Word Processing software.
