AUI is currently seeking a motivated individual to grow with us in our Tallahassee office.

CT X Ray Technician
This position is responsible for performing the CT and X-ray exams following the clinical orders that assists radiologists and/or physicians with diagnosing and/or treating disease and/or injury.

Duties:

• Performs CT & x-ray exams according to the guidelines established.
• Selects correct technical factors on individual basis and produces quality images.
• Initiates IV access for IV catheter placement & administers contrast media in accordance with select CT protocol amount and BUN (blood urea nitrogen)/Creatinine level guidelines.
• Documents history sheet complete with venous access location and IV contrast amount administered for CT scans.
• Assists patients as needed.
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology.
• ARRT registered in general radiography in current standing.
• Florida State licensed in General Radiography in current standing.
• Advanced AART registry in CT certification timeline 12-18 months from hire to attain certification. Advanced Urology is only able to provide the volume of clinical exams needed for abdomen & pelvis and pelvis exam categories needed to attain certification.
• Must become independently proficient in IV catheter access for CT contrast administration provided (training provided).
• CPR certification in current standing.
• One to three years of experience as X-ray technician, preferably in medical practice environment.
• Some MA experience preferred
