PlayDate Behavioral Interventions has an opening for a qualified pediatric professional in the field of Speech-Language Pathology! Our collaborative team is dedicated to serving children ages 0-18. We ensure lack of funding is not a barrier to services and have provided over $3 million in scholarship and pro bono services in the Colorado Springs area.
We are seeking a motivated Speech-Language Pathologist to develop/oversee a Pediatric Speech Program and provide this essential service to children with various diagnoses. We aim to provide a variety of services in one location to decrease stress on caregivers and increase multidisciplinary collaboration. Candidates should be licensed as a SLP in Colorado and be able to work independently as well as with a multidisciplinary team of professionals.
This is a unique opportunity for a candidate who is looking to utilize all their experience to develop a full Speech program! Opportunity to hire and supervise SLPAs. We provide the therapeutic equipment needed for evaluations and treatment. This position offers exciting leadership opportunities to influence and innovate an excellent Speech program.
This is a highly collaborative environment. This position allows you to set your own schedule. Individuals qualified for this position should have background and extensive knowledge in the field of speech-language pathology and preferably 2 years of experience working with children with developmental disabilities, including autism, as well as 1 year of experience overseeing/training staff. Salary is based on experience. Signing bonus of $2500! $38-48 per hour with ALL WORK HOURS PAID AT SAME RATE INCLUDING NON-BILLABLE AND TRAINING. We also provide free on-site childcare to employees.

Responsibilities
  • Management of the Speech program within our building and caseload
  • Provide training and support to non-Speech professionals
  • Evaluating levels of speech and language difficulty
  • Identifying treatment options
  • Creating and carrying out individualized treatment plans addressing specific functional needs
  • Teaching caregivers how to support treatment goals across environments
  • Helping individuals improve sentence structure and vocabulary used in written and oral language
  • Working with children in developing and strengthening muscles used to swallow
  • Working with a multidisciplinary team to reach common treatment goals
