R&E Stamping Maintenance Technician

Join the R&E family as we expand our production operations in Detroit. We are seeking an all-around Maintenance Technician for the day-to-day upkeep of our Stamping Facility. This position will service the automated stamping and assembly equipment as well as the facility itself. Candidates must be comfortable and safe while working from heights and in confined spaces.

• Position Requirements
  • Must not be afraid of heights or confined spaces
  • Able to be licensed to operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and aerial work platforms
  • Must be willing to learn and work as part of a team
  • Willing to perform any maintenance task from replacing light fixtures to major press repairs
  • Must have/supply own basic mechanical tools (specialty tools are supplied)
  • Mechanical Aptitude (Knows how to take things apart and put them back together)
  • Basic understanding of pneumatics, hydraulics, mechanical

• Preferred Experience
  • Forklift knowledge including mechanics, motors, and ability to service.
  • Stamping Presses knowledge (gear trains, clutch/brake assemblies)
  • Welding experience in Stick, MIG, TIG
  • PLC/Controls/Electrical experience (We can Train)
  • High voltage up to 480VAC and Low Voltage to 24VDC (We can Train)
  • Robotics experience (We can Train)

• First and second shift available.
• Second shift would start on first shift until second shift is established (Shift premium for second shift)
