R&E Automated Systems (www.reautomated.com) is the industry leader in Controls, Robotics, Joining, and Laser Welding Applications. In addition, Engineering Services Including Mechanical, Quality, Simulation, and Service Part Stamping, Assembly, and Coating.

We are seeking a Sheet Metal Finisher to become an integral part of our team. Monday-Thursday 3:00PM-1:30AM - with $1.00 shift differential.

Responsibilities of the Position:

• Review sheet metal parts for stamping defects.
• Repair defects using typical metal finishing techniques.
• Clean the work area, when needed.
• Metal finish per the Assembly Process Maps/Work Instructions, where applicable.
• Ensure quality checks or validation methods are performed when required.
• Report unsafe activities to Production Manager.
• Ensure suspect product is identified and quarantined and treated as nonconforming product, until Quality can verify.
• Recommend process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and safety.
• Contribute to the achievement of Quality Objectives.

​Qualifications:

• Previous experience in metal finishing
• Familiarity with metal finishing tools and procedures
• Ability to handle physical workload

Classifications and Rate Structure

Class A . Someone who is technically strong on all metal finishing repairs and use of tools. This person is able to train and guide the Class B and Class C finishers in every aspect of metal finishing and defect detection. They have the ability to discuss with customers and suppliers concerning panel quality and defects.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
