We have an exciting career opportunity for two skilled Regional Retail Managers of Branch Services, Sales & Operations to join our growing Branch Network at UHCU and to support the branch, department and organizational goals and strategies alongside our VP of Retail Operations! This position will be responsible for managing, developing, directing and monitoring all of the Credit Union branches in their assigned area. You will be able to develop a highly effective team of Branch Managers, developing each manager to their highest potential through coaching and leadership. You will drive branch performance, sales growth, and member satisfaction through leadership, performance management, and key internal and external partnerships. The ideal candidate will be able to manage and provide strategic guidance and direction to the Retail Management Team and ensure that employees provide exemplary service to UHCU members.

**Here's what you can expect day to day...**

* **Provide direction and leadership to staff:**

Train and coach staff through individual development plans, coaching sessions and performance reviews. Recognize staff by interpreting feedback, reinforcing positive skills and identifying areas of improvement. Perform necessary personnel actions such as interviewing, hiring, transfer, promotions, disciplinary actions and terminations in consultation with management.

Manage multiple branch locations focusing on leadership, development, and consistency through ongoing communications including branch visits, leading or attending branch meetings.

Assist the VP Retail Operations with effective succession planning throughout the branch network, ensuring the branch network is continually developing its current and future leaders while supporting individual and team success, achievement of goals and service excellence.

Promote UHCUs culture, philosophy, values and standards ensuring quality and teamwork in all areas. Provide leadership to initiate change, influence others, build teams and represent the organizations values and goals

* Handle complex escalated staff and member concerns and assists with complex questions for resolution.

* Lead sales and service initiatives and ensure that high levels of member service are provided. Develop, plot out and track sales goals and objectives that co-align with organizational strategies, budget and objectives. Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information.

* Support the VP Retail Operations in the development and execution of annual branch strategy. Provide input on product offerings and developments. Assist with anticipating obstacles and pivoting when necessary.

* Recommend and implement policies, procedures and programs to create operational efficiencies with the branches. Maintains and improves branch operations by monitoring system performances, identifying and resolving problems, preparing and completing action plans.

* Support the VP Retail Operations to conduct reviews of existing systems, products and procedures and research, monitor and evaluate systems and internal processes and make recommendations for change or improvement. Stays up-to-date on market conditions and industry trends.

* Serve as subject matter expert, maintain strong working knowledge of branch operations, systems and regulatory framework. Ensure compliance and quality control is measured and maintained across the board in all areas of responsibility.

* Participate in organizational or departmental initiatives/projects as a representative of the department, serving as a consultant or subject matter expert in both departmental and organizational projects.

**What you will need to succeed:**

* Motivated self-starter who can work independently in a stressful environment and loves a challenge; strong sense of urgency.

* Ability to maintain focus and keep a strong eye on the details in an ambiguous and changing environment.

* Proficient with Microsoft Office, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint; with an advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

* Strong follow through and decision-making skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and projects.

* Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate respect and professionalism.

* Excellent interpersonal skills: demonstrated consultative, influencing, strategic thinking and problem-solving and presentation skills.

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate professionally.

* In-depth understanding of branch operations including consumer and real estate lending, sales and service initiatives and problem resolution.

**Minimum Qualifications:**

* Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, Management, or other related field. Any equivalent combination of education, experience and training consistent with the related knowledge, skills and abilities will be considered.

* 5 years of experience in a branch management role or related industry with past roles showing a progression of increasing responsibility with branch operations, sales and service initiatives, proven performance in gathering and interpreting data and managing compliance standards and procedures.

* 5 years of leadership experience with knowledge of creating functional strategies and specific objectives for retail branches; including responsibilities for hiring, training, assigning work, motivating and managing staff.

* Familiarity with developing KPIs and development of incentive programs and sales plans.

* Knowledge of customer satisfaction reporting, analysis and interpretation of data into actionable plans.

* Demonstrated knowledge of credit union federal and state regulations, products, policies, procedures and services.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

* 7 years of demonstrated financial institution related experience with progressive responsibilities related to retail branch operations preferred.

* 7 years of leadership experience with demonstrated responsibility for creating functional strategies and specific objectives for a branch team.

* Experience managing a team of at least 20 direct/indirect reports.

* Knowledge of policy and procedure creation.

* Symitar experience is preferred.
