Job Overview:
Vascular and Vein Institute of the South is seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Sedation Monitoring Registered Nurse. As a Sedation Monitoring Nurse, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our clients. Your primary responsibility will be to administer, monitor and document patient behavior while under sedation and maintain a safe and secure environment by providing comprehensive communication with the surgeon. Duties:
- Monitor patient activities and behavior to ensure compliance with facility rules and regulations
- Document observations and incidents accurately and thoroughly
- Report any concerns or issues to the appropriate supervisor or physician
- Assist with preparing the patient for outpatient procedures
- Assist with discharge planning and coordination of patient care
- Provide support and assistance to patients in daily activities as needed
- Follow HIPAA guidelines to maintain patient confidentiality
- Administer basic medical procedures and/or medications as directed and guided by the surgeon
- Maintain accurate recordings of all medications used and stored at the facility
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the facility
- All other duties as assigned

Requirements:
- Valid Nursing License REQUIRED (TN & AR)
- ICU/PACU experience PREFERRED
- ACLS certification REQUIRED
- Valid drivers license REQUIRED
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and standards
- Strong observational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively
- Basic understanding of preoperative and discharge planning process
