Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement comprehensive quality control procedures and protocols to ensure product quality meets or exceeds customer expectations and industry standards.
2. Establish and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and monitor the effectiveness of quality control processes.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain, to identify and address quality issues throughout the product lifecycle.
4. Lead quality audits and inspections to assess compliance with internal quality standards, customer requirements, and regulatory requirements.
5. Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends, root causes of defects, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
6. Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) to address quality issues and drive process improvements.
7. Provide leadership and guidance to quality assurance personnel, fostering a culture of quality excellence and continuous learning.
8. Ensure timely resolution of customer complaints and inquiries related to product quality, working closely with customer support teams.
9. Develop and deliver quality training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of employees involved in quality-related activities.
10. Stay current with industry trends, regulatory requirements, and best practices in quality management, incorporating relevant updates into the organization's quality processes and systems.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
2. Proven experience (X years) in a quality management role within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
3. Strong understanding of quality management principles, methodologies, and tools, such as Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and Statistical Process Control (SPC).
4. In-depth knowledge of quality standards and regulatory requirements relevant to the industry, such as ISO 9001, AS9100, or equivalent.
5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets and drive data-driven decision-making.
6. Effective leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across functions and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
7. Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and a passion for delivering high-quality products and services.
8. Certified Quality Manager (CQM) or Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) credentials are a plus.
