Responsibilities:
1. Prepare Surfaces: Clean and prepare surfaces for powder coating by sandblasting, chemical cleaning, and masking as necessary.
2. Mix Powder Coatings: Measure and mix powder coating materials according to manufacturer instructions and job requirements.
3. Apply Coatings: Apply powder coatings evenly and accurately to surfaces using spray guns or other application equipment.
4. Monitor Process: Monitor coating process to ensure proper thickness, coverage, and adhesion, making adjustments as needed.
5. Quality Control: Inspect finished products for quality defects, such as runs, sags, or uneven coating, and make necessary touch-ups or adjustments.
6. Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on equipment and tools to ensure proper functioning and safety.
7. Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
8. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of materials used, production output, and any quality issues encountered during the coating process.
Qualifications:
1. Experience: Previous experience as a Powder Coat Painter or similar role preferred.
2. Knowledge: Familiarity with powder coating equipment, materials, and techniques.
3. Skills: Strong attention to detail, precision, and manual dexterity. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
4. Physical Requirements: Capable of lifting and moving heavy objects, standing for extended periods, and working in various environmental conditions.
5. Safety Conscious: Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures related to powder coating operations.
6. Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot issues and make adjustments to achieve desired coating results.
